Ron Tanner is an award-winning author who has written a memoir about his painstaking restoration of an 1897 Queen-Anne style row house in Baltimore. His book, From Animal House to Our House: A Love Story, recounts the story of buying the 4,500 sq. ft. brownstone with his girlfriend, Jill Eicher, embarking on a complex and demanding restoration, and falling more in love with the house and each other in the process.
Tanner teaches creative writing at Loyola University, Maryland, and lives in the home with his now-wife, Jill.
Preservation Pittsburgh is a partner in presenting this Writers LIVE program. A book signing will follow Ron Tanner’s talk and reading. Copies of Ron Tanner’s book will be provided by Mystery Lovers Bookshop.
