Nora Zelevaaltnsky is a “lifestyle journalist“ for publications including ELLE and SELF Magazine, and online journals including Style.com and Salon.com.  She lives a bi-coastal life between Brooklyn and Los Angeles and frequently visits Pittsburgh to see her parents, Paul and Lynn Zelevansky, Director of the Carnegie Museum of Art. Nora’s debut novel, Semi-Charmed Life, is the first of a two-book deal with St. Martin’s Press and due for publication on July 3, 2012.

Semi-Charmed Life is a comedic, quirky, pop culture-packed, coming-of-age story about Beatrice Bernstein, a directionless college senior from an offbeat Upper West Side New York family, including a famous curator mother. Sound familiar? Nora Zelevansky has her tongue firmly in her cheek in describing the novel as “an extremely commercial romantic social satire with magic realism.”

Please note! This program will be held in the Carnegie Museum of Art Theatre.  A book signing will follow Nora Zelevansky’s talk and reading.  Copies of her book will be available from Mystery Lovers Bookshop.
