altChristopher Paul Curtis is famous for his book, Bud, Not Buddy, which won two important awards, the Newbery Award and the Coretta Scott King Award.  Mr. Curtis comes to celebrate Black History Month with his latest book, The Mighty Miss Malone.  The main character in this book is Deza Malone.  Deza is a dynamic little girl who is determined to keep hope alive, even when her father loses his job in the middle of the Great Depression.  Deza Malone's motto is, "We are a family on a journey to a place called Wonderful!"  Come along and find out how to get there yourself! (Ages 8 and Up)
