Poet Shara McCallum is the 2013 recipient of the Witter Bynner Fellowship, as chosen by U.S. Poet Laureate Natasha Trethewey, and appears at Writers LIVE to share from her most recent collection of poetry, The Face of Water: New and Selected Poems. Described as intimate and beautifully crafted, Trethewey remarked that McCallum's "collections continue to surprise and delight." Shara McCallum has authored three additional books of poetry: This Strange Land, Song of Thieves, and The Water Between Us, and her poems have been translated and published internationally, appearing in journals throughout the United Kingdom, Caribbean, Latin America, and Israel. She is the Director of the Stadler Center for Poetry and a Professor of creative writing and literature at Bucknell University, in Lewisburg, PA.
A book signing follows the program, with copies of Ms. McCallum's poetry collections available for sale from the Mystery Lovers Bookshop.
